Hello everyone, I read an article about dating chinese cultures: chineseculture.about.com/od/Chinese-Pop-Culture/fl/Dating-in-China-Whatrsquos-Different.htmComments: This article is interesting to me because it speaks about dating about a culture that I didn't know at all. It explains that in china dates are far removed from dates in Western countries. In fact Chinese people start dating later than American or European ones because of China’s rigorous college entrance examination. Then it also exposed that in china love relations are more pragmatic, with marriage as the ultimate goal of most relations. Finally, I found this article quite interesting because it addresses almost all subjects related to love relation in China (from when it start to the marriage and the expectations) with a lot of comparisons with our culture. We can ask if a relationship between two people from different culture as is possible, and what can be the difficulties? Vocabulary: counterpart: a person or thing that has the same position or function as somebody/something else in a different place or situation suitable: right or appropriate for a particular purpose or occasion acute: very serious or severe

Hello everyone, I read this article about dating in different cultures: www.healthguidance.org/entry/15163/1/Dating-in-Different-Cultures.htmlComments: This article is interesting because it shows some of the big issues that we can think about when we hear about « dating with someone from a different culture ». This article isn't very specific but deals with the problems of different religions and the differences in behaving during everyday life and gives interesting examples. After reading this article I noted (from my point of view) that one of the biggest problems in dating someone from a different culture wasn't between people who were dating but was linked with the family. We can ask ourselves : Do the family have something to say or to complain about dating someone ? Vocabulary: -make no bones about (doing) something (informal) to be honest and open about something; to not hesitate to do something . -disown somebody/something to decide that you no longer want to be connected with or responsible for somebody/something. -pave the way (for somebody/something) to create a situation in which somebody will be able to do something or something can happen .

Goodnight everybody I found an article about the difficulties children of Indians immigrants have with dating : www.littleindia.com/life/13599-let-s-talk-about-dating.htmlAccording to this article, Parents born in India have a very strict way of seeing dating. The children, raised by Indian parents but in other cultures, sometimes feel oppressed by it. But the problem is also that parents don't know how culture has evoluted since they left India, especially in big cities. In my opinion, what this article shows the most is that parents try to preserve their culture, but don't always realise it can change. My question is : Why are there dating rules ? Vocabulary : -Oblivious : not noticing something, or not knowing about it -Likewise : in the same way, or in a similar way -Accomodating : helpful and easy to work with

Good evening. My article is the following link : goodguyswag.com/8-dating-customs-cultures-follow/This article is the opinion of an american on dating in different culture. The fact is that he tries to describe what are the different comportments during the datings and/or its following. What he tells in this article can be right or wrong, for instance, when he speaks about the place of the families, he already has an opinion on the topic and that bring us to the question: Can someone be objective and give an accurate description of dating in other countries ? Or is it compulsory to know someone from another country to really understand what are the borders of datings in this particular country ?

Good evening everyone, I read this article about dating someone from a different culture: www.torontosnumber1datedoctor.com/NEWSLETTER%20ARTICLES/interracial%20dating.htmlComments: This article is interesting because it makes us think about the reasons why we date someone. Indeed, when you begin to have a serious relationship with someone, you have to think about how you want to build your future with that person. And if the other person thinks in a total opposite way than yours, it may be because their culture dictates their behavior. Basically, you have to make the right decisions when you have someone in front of you who doesn't think the way you do. Vocabulary: hands-on: doing something rather than just talking about it to sustain somebody/something: to provide enough of what somebody/something needs in order to live or exist bigotry: the state of feeling, or the act of expressing, strong, unreasonable beliefs or opinions Question: Is it possible to have a long-term relationship with someone from a radically different culture than yours ?

Hello, I have chosen an article about dating customs around the world : www.healthguidance.org/entry/15127/1/Dating-Customs-Around-the-World.htmlIt is interesting as it shows that dating is actually quite European, since many countries still ban it or don't allow it until teens are old enough, and in some of these countries parents are still empowered to chose their daughter's or son's future partner. We can wonder if such differences tend to disappear or if cultural differences concerning dating and marriage will remain as worldwide the American Way of Life tends to be copied? Introduction : the process of telling someone an other person's name when they meet for the first time. Gathering : A group of people meeting together

hello, The article i decided to read is about the difference of expectation between european dating and american dating : elitedaily.com/life/culture/usa-vs-europe-dating/To summarize, even if I think that there is a lot of stereotype, the article is interesting on one point : in USA relationship is just being with the best looking person you can be. So if you find someone better 2 day later, you go with her (him). Whereas in Europe a relationship is more serious and you can't change your girlfriend (or boyfriend) everyday. vocabulary : sneaker : a shoe that you wear for sports or as informal clothing commitment : a promise to support somebody/something My question : do you think that you can have a girlfriend (or boyfriend ) without knowing the dating rules of where you are ?
